Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your piercing heals perfectly. Here’s a guide to help you take care of your new piercing:
Healing Period:
Earlobe Piercings: 6 weeks
Cartilage Piercings: 12 weeks
Day One:
Congratulations! Please follow these tips to help your piercing heal safely.
Keep It Clean:
Keep your hands and anything in contact with your piercing clean.
Clean 3x a Day:
Gently clean the front and back of your piercing with a cotton swab soaked in Inverness Ear Care Solution three times daily.
Changing Earrings:
Earlobes (Week 6): You may now change your earrings! We recommend stud-style earrings for the first 6 months. Avoid heavy earrings for the first 12 months.
Cartilage (Week 12): You may now change your earrings! Avoid heavy earring styles for the first 12 months.
Protect Your Piercing:
Earlobe: For 6 months following the healing period, never go more than 24 hours without an earring.
Cartilage: For 6 months following the healing period, wear an earring in the piercing at all times.
FAQ
1- What should I do if my piercing becomes red or swollen?
Redness and swelling can be normal in the initial days. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen, please consult your specialists for advice.
2- Can I bring my earrings for the initial piercing?
To ensure safety and hygiene, we utilise sterile studs provided by Inverness for all initial piercings.
3- Is the piercing procedure painful?
Our trained professionals use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure minimal discomfort during the piercing process.
4- How long does a piercing appointment take?
Most piercing appointments take about 15–30 minutes, including consultation and aftercare instructions.
5- What materials are the piercing studs made from?
We use premium, hypoallergenic materials for our piercing studs to lower the risk of negative reactions.
6- Can I book an appointment online?
Currently, appointments for children must be booked over the phone to ensure we can accommodate all your needs. For adults, there's no need to book an appointment.
